Friland includes 2 beef cattle products
Friland Limousine® Originally Limousine cattle come from France. A distinctive feature of the meat from this breed is very light colour and tenderness. Because of the modest grade of fat marbling meat from Limousine is lean, and may very well be used as veal.
All meat is graded, and only the best quality will be sold under the Friland brand, i.e. only steers, heifers and young cows.
The meat ripens for a minimum of 12 days.
Friland Limousine is bred according to production standards ensuring that the natural behaviour of the animals is considered, and is therefore recommended by the Danish Animal Welfare Society.
Angus® Originally Angus cattle come from Scotland and today it is the world’s most famous breed of quality cattle. For generations marbling has been bred into Angus cattle, and this ensures tenderness of the meat when cooked and brings out flavour – and this is one of the reasons why Angus meat is sought after when selecting meat.
Angus cattle are bred according to specific Standards for eating quality. Production standards also ensure consideration of environment and the natural behaviour of the animals. The Danish Animal Welfare Society has awarded Friland Angus its recommendation.
