Friland and the Danish Animal Welfare Society

Ever since the establishment of our company in 1992, Friland A/S has co-operated with The Danish Animal Welfare Society starting with drawing up production Standards for our products.

The Danish Animal Welfare Society awards meat products its recommendation, provided the products come from animals having lived under satisfactory codes of ethics.

All Friland’s branded non-organic meat products are awarded The Danish Animal Welfare Society’s recommendation, and can be labelled with there logo label. This label is of very good reputation in Denmark, and consumers feel sure that products labelled with the logo come from farmers authorized by The Danish Animal Welfare Society.

To obtain this authorization, the farm is demanded to be under current control by The Society’s inspectors controlling that specific production Standards are observed.
