About Friland A/S

Since 1992 Friland has engaged itself in the processing of organic meat.

Friland A/S is the biggest wholesaler in Europe of organic meat and meat from animals produced with regard for the welfare of the animals.

Our success in the market is due to the fact that 1400 farmers supplying to Friland A/S produce quality products with regard for the environment and the welfare of the animals.

Standards for all our branded meat products are set up in a close co-operation between Friland A/S and Dyrenes Beskyttelse (The Danish Animal Welfare Society), and primary production is under current control by the Danish Animal Welfare Society.

All animals supplied to Friland A/S are killed at abattoirs owned by Danish Crown (EEC authorized). Having big facilities at our disposal enables us to be flexible and prompt.

We prefer to discuss planning and objectives for our products with our customers, and therefore we have a close co-operation with supermarkets, retail dealers as well as processing industry in almost all Europe.

We have been exporting since 1995, and nowadays we export to the USA, Japan and several European countries.

We hold about 80% of organic sales of pork and beef to the domestic market.
